Metal Clay

Metal Clay

Metal clay is a crafting medium consisting of very small particles of metal such as silver, gold, bronze, or copper mixed with an organic binder and water for use in making jewelry, beads and small sculptures. When fired in a kiln, the organic binder burns away so only the metal remains holding the shape it was cast in before it was fired. The metal is then polished and a patina can be applied to add an antique feel.
